I don't know how many people I've forced to watch this movie, or how many times I've watched it, myself. Numerous times on both counts, I imagine. I just love the design of the sets/costumes/everythings. Those umbrellas with the fluorescent tubes for handles are fantastic. I want one! :(

After call_me_daisy posted a post of pure hotness, a comment by the_grynne reminded me of the photoshoot (well, most of it) I actually had floating around on my HD. While nothing beats the Irons/Jovovich chemistry in that shoot, the Oldman/Jovovich pairing is still... hot. I've made more than one post about Samurai Champloo (two, I believe) because it's a new mini-obsession. It isn't a particularly clever anime, but the way in which it fits hip-hop beats with feudal Japan and samurai is something which I wouldn't want to have missed in my life of frivolous entertainment ( Read more... )
