For people, for objects, for anything. Give me your thoughts on this ( Read more... )

I think... it's when you can't stand waiting anymore. [This is, she knows, a vague answer. But waiting for things to work out hadn't had a time limit set on it. There was just a time when suddenly she couldn't keep sitting and waiting.]

That's a good answer. And everybody's amount of time is different, is't it?

Mm. Some people can bear more than others. [To be honest, with the perspective of the years since back then, she was probably too quick to give up.]

So I've noticed. ...what's yours? [Limit, she means. Because Shiki's nosy and likes to ask questions that aren't necessarily her business.]

[Ami gives her refusal politely nonetheless.]

I think that's something personal.

Not if you keep it vague, but okay fine, I'll accept that. Everybody's got limits...on everything.

Thank you. I guess, after awhile, I just sometimes thought whatever was being waited for might be hopeless.

But I think I might have been too quick to decide that.

And there isn't a way to go back on your decision and change your mind?

Oh. In that case, I'm glad to hear that. That probably makes everything a lot easier, whatever it is.

Mm. I learned from it. Maybe in the end, that's what I had to do.

You think the whole thing was meant to serve as a lesson? Really?

No; but I can still that away from it.

Six years. [She counts the nearly-two-years of Luceti easily.]

Must have been a pretty decent not-lesson if it's stuck that long.
