Love doesn’t always have to be hard.

Seung-ri stretches his arm across the table, his fingers running across scattered papers and crumbs, detouring around a crumpled can of something sweet and fuzzy to pause at a half full bag of crisps, hesitating. A little jump across, and then his fingers are dancing over records and pens before there’s a full stop at a curtain of blond hair.

He giggles, only to himself.

Then he charges -and pokes the other boy straight in the chest. The reaction is instant and Ji-yong jumps, his body kick starting - for a moment it looks like he’s going to fall off of his chair. He flails, catches his balance, and glares.

“Yah!”

Seung-ri leans over and touches his fingers to Ji-yong’s heart.

“…Ji-yong,” he whispers, smiling softly at the other boy and his sleepysleepy eyes.

Ji-yong lifts his heavy eyes and blinks at him, slowly, sullenly. Something smells good.

“Seung-ri,” he mumbles, yawning so big and so rudely, Seung-ri can almost see the rest of the crisps.

“Hi.” The younger boy quickly puts a hot, steaming bowl of ramen in front his hyung and pushes a pair of metal chopsticks into his hand, squeezing gently around his fingers.

“Fighting, fighting, Ji-yong,” he says.

Because love doesn’t always have to be so hard. Sometime love is simple.

Sometimes love is just noodles with a smile.
