Maile is in the hospital right now. She's been there the past few nights and will stay a few more. There is something wrong with her lungs. She has an IV and is attached to a respirator. It's a really scary thing to pick up your baby sister and feel her struggling to breathe. She's been on an inhaler for a couple months now but I guess it isn't working. I've barely seen her since I've been back because my mom had to take her to the emergency room the day after I got here. At least I got to spend a few hours with her. She slept on my chest and it was lovely.

Oh yeah, by the way, I'm in Ventura, doing nothing. How unusual. My phone broke my last night in Santa Cruz. It was perfect timing.
