Feeling cheerful. It was a productive llama-day, with much laundry being washed and folded. Incidentally, during the washing and folding, I watched several episodes of the BBC series "
Doc Martin" about a cranky and socially inept London surgeon who relocates to a small village as its general practitioner. I was trying to explain its charm to M., "It's kind of like a cross between '
House' and '
'Hot Fuzz'". I found the series to be charming and totally addictive.
This being Garbage Night (pickup is tomorrow morning), I found myself confronting the Graveyard of Forgotten Leftovers (like the Boulevard of Broken Dreams) which tend to agglomerate and hide at the back of the fridge. Though past its edibility stage, most of the contents were at least identifiable before I sent them to their final resting place. (I can't always say that is the case.)
Also, I heard on the news that the Souris River flooded the town of Minot, N.D. Of course, what I heard was the
Tzuris River (Yiddish for "suffering") was flooding. "Yes," I thought, "those poor people certainly have tzuris.'
Pats self on back for submitting online hw assignments with minimal about of handwringing and fuss. Yay llama! (Also leaving dirty dishes for tomorrow and going to sleep).
