Ziggy Marley and D'angeline Philosophy

Dec 30, 2006 21:17

My jazzercise class rotates it playlist every month or so with new routines. One of the new songs is Ziggy Marley's Love Is My Religion, a very catchy reggae tune. It's also encapsulation of D'Angeline religious belief in Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel novels.

It got me thinking, would Phedre like jazzercise? She likes to dance, she would probably think spandex on me and my compatriots is ridiculous and would mostly likely thoroughly enjoy some of the more masochistic routines.
At any rate, my speculations on whether Carey's intrepid spy/courtesan/anguisette would like my aerobics class served to completely distract me from the routine, though luckily I didn't crash into anyone.

Though speaking of professional anguisettes, I decided to get my legs waxed. Luckily for me, the salon near my house had a cancellation and was able to take me. The discomfort was not all that bad, and an improvement on cutting myself multiple times when I try to shave my legs.
