Llama does Llaundry

Some of you may be familiar with the great divides among humanity. Politics. Religion. Chocolate v. Vanilla. Here's one you may not have heard of: Varying definitions of "Laundry."

M's definition of laundry: "Wash and dry clothing".
Llama's definition of laundry: "wash-and-dry-and-fold-or-hang-up-and-put-away clothing".

I expend much more energy in my version of laundry, esp. since I am compelled to fold and de-wrinkle the baskets of "laundry" that M. has done over the weekend, and then put everything away in its proper place. Then M. accuses me of hiding his underwear because its no longer in the laundry basket. Sigh.

Speaking of llamas as beasts of burden,
Llamas help Israeli troops bear Lebanon offensive

It may have one of the world's mightiest militaries, but Israel has turned to imported beasts of burden to help troops wage a 20-day-old offensive against Hizbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.

Israeli newspapers carried pictures of South American llamas accompanying commandos out of southern Lebanon, their saddlebags full of fighting gear.

Yedioth Ahronoth daily quoted a senior Israeli military commander as saying the white-furred pack animals could carry up to 60 pounds each over rough terrain, were quiet and required feeding only once every two days.

I must be an anomalous llama. I prefer eating multiple times in one day, much less once every two days. And I think I might die if I had to carry 60 lbs. But maybe these llamas are more martial, being part of the IDF.
