I joined myspace.com last week and I found out it is much cooler than livejournal. Much more organized search engine so you can actually find your friends you used to go to school with and other people in your hometown to build a network of friends. So many other features too. House construction is still moving along really quick, but I'm afraid its going to start slowing down soon since they are now starting the interior work. Drywall has already started going up, all my wiring for the home network, surround sound, and video cables for the projector have been ran. It's been a long time since I've updated. They finally broke ground on building my house and its moving along pretty quickly. I'm planning on taking pictures and posting them as it slowly comes together. Well. Things didn't turn out exactly like I planned with the building a house thing. It might actually turn out being for the best though. The subdivision I was going to build in ended up raising the price of the lot from 13000 to 19000, putting the final cost of building a little bit more then I was willing to spend and that would be with bare ( Read more... )

With my new promotion, I've really been excited about finally being able to afford my own place now. I have my heart set on this little 1350 sq foot house in this new neighborhood. I got my first promotion on friday! My Co-worker found a much higher paying job and put in his two weeks and highly recommended me for his position. Next thing I know I get a call from the boss man asking if I would accept the position and a salary increase of $4500. Woohoo. Wow my Co-workers daughter is REALLY cute! Wonder what he'd say if I asked if she was single! LOL. I suppose there are some advantages to working with people twice your age. He would probably castrate me if I started dating her though.
