Apop holiday song project

It's December, which means we get bombarded with the same old Christmas songs over and over again. Now I do have some Christmas songs I don't mind hearing every year, and there is an art to the holiday song that sometimes I just can't resist, just as with regular bubblegum. Ah, yes, the other reason I love pimp posts: I get to learn about new artists and songs.

Although, this song appears to be by GOING STEADY rather than the Ging Nang Boyz. Quibble, since three of the four members are the same, and probably why the Ging Nang Boyz were playing it.

Yeah exactly, they're the same band basically. For the two Ging Nang Boyz albums they re-recorded a bunch of their old material. I like this new version better than the old one.

Lol, "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring"
But it wasn't shoe-horned in like most Kpop use of classical. It actually kind of fit here, and they backed it up well enough with the arrangement for it to feel like a genuine rock riff rather than just "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring played on rock guitar."

The song reminded me of stuff from The Pillows.

Plus, the pause before and after the solo gave the entire section a feeling of respect for the piece, unlike in Kpop's "herp derp lolclassical" attitude.
