I have been very neutral about this. Mostly because I have relationships with people involved on all sides. And the last thing I want to do is hurt any of them

Yes, I understand, but the people who are already dead set on the idea that "oceanaldi is the devil's lair", will probably feel even more antagonised by what you said, they might even find it slightly condescending (I'm not saying that you were being condescending, just that to some people it might seem that way).
You've got to try and see things from the PoVs of the people this entry is addressed to. They discovered by accident/by snooping/by it doesn't even matter that they hadn't been included in 'oceanaldi', they felt hurt and left out. They didn't understand why they had been excluded, so they made assumptions. It's what people do.
I'm mature enough to admit that even I had a "Wow? Really?!" moment, before returning to the dungeons of the abysses of my default 'IDC' position.
I'm not saying you guys should issue a public apology, because you've done nothing wrong. I don't think there's anything you actually can do that won't entrench people further in their positions, each side needs to cut the others some slack, and time will do the rest.
Idk, really. I hate internet fighting, I had a bad experience once with online forum fighting that almost turned really ugly, and since then I've tried to stay as far away as possible from it.
I'm not sure anymore how I discovered oceanaldi, I clicked on someone's profile, and saw it there I think. So I clicked on Oceanaldi, saw what it was, and didn't want to crash anybody's party there... It felt like I was unwanted anyways. So I'm not surprised others felt the same way. *shrugs*
But I also didn't think it was a "bitching community". Just an exclusively Oceanites/Rambaldi Party ...
