The Foot of Pain

May 07, 2006 22:15

So last week I stubbed my toe good and it's thankfully healing nicely aside from being mildly uncomfortable from moment to moment. It feels so strange sometimes, maybe it's not broken but dislocated? I'll let it go for a week or two and we'll see where we are.

Grats to the Phoenix Suns basketball team, who trounced my least favorite NBA team, the LA Lakers, in Saturday's complete humiliation of a game. The Portland home team, the Blazers, and the Lakers have always had a rivalry so it's always a pleasure to see them go down hard.

The new title for my car has finally arrived in the mail from the DMV. I can now make a copy of it and mail it off to the insurance people and finally claim my settlement for damage from that January rear-end. Finally, I'll put this all behind me. Now, all I need to do is get this medical claims release signed, but it looks like I need witnesses and a notary (Again)... Which is a pain. I'm hoping to have it in the mail tomorrow after a visit to the nasty notary guy. When I first went to see him weeks ago to get some other documents stamped, he was kinda cold and rude to me like I was a chore or a mutt from off the street. Thankfully, that's the least of my worries.

I'm within moments (Days actually) of actually posting the final piece of my personal website, the online portfolio. It'll have everything I deem of artistic value worth posting online to show to friends, family and potential employers. We're talking photos, paintings, design work and artwork as well as, most importantly, my film work. I'll be very proud to finally be able to add to my resumé all this work available at the click of a mouse. I should have done this years ago, but it's never been a priority until right now, when my job search could use a nice boost.
