It's time for another update. Bring on the cut:

Minneapolis
I should probably talk a little bit about what I did in Minneapolis first. I appear to be behind. I spent the whole weekend and the first half of the week with my aunt, Janet. She was quite busy, every day I was there she had something going on that took her away. But that was okay with me, I was busy trying to get internet access. Janet had DSL but for some reason, I just couldn't use it. My laptop was.. Who knows. Luckily, her neighbors have unprotected wireless networks!

We had dinners out several times and I had a fantastic time with her the last night I was in town, Tuesday night. It was very strange... It almost kind of felt like a date. We walked on a lake, had dinner at a downtown eatery and ended up at a club for chocolate fondue. Halfway through the live vocalist's set as we sat there eating chocolate, Janet said something to the effect of, "I'm having a fantastic time!" Right then I'm thinking to myself, "EEK! I'm on a date with my AUNT!!"

But in all honesty, it wasn't a bad time. It was a good weekend!

Leg 4: Minneapolis to Chicago
Wednesday the 12th was another driving day. Leg 4. Took off from Minneapolis and drove through Wisconsin, quite possibly the more beautiful country I've seen so far.

But, Wisconsin gave way to...

CHICAGO! The windy city! I made my way downtown and stayed in a hotel near O'Hare. The next morning, I got some sand from Lake Michigan, sat on the beach for a bit, walked around downtown, took a bunch of photos and got the hell out. I had a lot of driving to do.

Leg 5: Chicago to Columbus

Chicago's traffic wasn't bad at all. They have this expressway thing south out of the city and I was able to sail through to Indiana in no time. It wasn't until I got to Indianapolis that the traffic problems started. Half an hour I sat in one place. Never yet in my 3000 mile trek have I had to deal with traffic as bad. This is by far the worst piece of road I think I've ever dealt with. The freeways were ripped up so badly- There were several unmarked pavement drop offs of up to 4 inches in certain areas in the city. At one point, there was construction bars sticking up in the middle of the lane, sending all of us dodging it or else we'd be all replacing tires. I'm not kidding. My tires may now need to be rebalanced.

Check it out! My car's odometer rolled over! It's a brand new car! But as of right now, I have made it to Columbus, Ohio. I'm here with my cousin Christopher staying in an off-campus housing complex just outside of Ohio State. Tomorrow is a major home football game and it's gonna be crazy here. The population of this town will double tomorrow. It's gonna be wild. More later.
