How many miles to KISS?

This summer, the seven members of Kis-My-Ft2 finally achieve their long-awaited debut. Starting from this issue, this magazine will run a countdown serial to their debut! To commemorate the start of the serialization, first up we give you a crosstalk between the seven members!

Kis-My-Ft2 Start Dash!

Anticipating their CD debut!
Making the best of their experience, they can only go forward.

Ki: The February concert when our debut was decided. Has anything changed since then?
2: I was told, “Congratulations. You can finally start,” by my family.
S: Recently I’ve come to really feel that “It’s no good if we don’t create a new era. We have to do it.” I’ve started to think like that.
Ki: Why was there a bit of Nagoya dialect (laugh)?
S: Because I’m from Nagoya. I was glad that my grandmother who came to watch at the venue was happy. “You’ve done well. Congratulations,” she said, and gave me some spending money (laugh).
ALL: (explosion of laughter)
Ki: You say you were happy, but weren’t you just happy to get the money (laugh)?
S: No! Because I love my grandmother! I’m a granny’s boy.
F: But your grandmother is really nice, you know. When I went to Kento’s house to hang out and tried to go home in the middle of the night, she was really worried about me... and called a taxi. Thank you for that, Grandma!
2: Whaaat? Not for me!
S: Stop~ (cries). It’s ‘cause my grandma’s kind of inconsistent about some things.
Y: But Taipi’s house isn’t far enough away to need a taxi.
F: That’s why I walked home that day. I’m sorry, Grandma!
S: Wah, seriously~ (cries).
Y: (laugh). A childhood friend I’ve known for 23 years came to watch the February concert, and we went to eat together that night. Taipi knows him. While talking, he cried for my sake. I was really happy. It was really touching.
F: Yeah. We also heard from sempai, and were really glad that just like the fans, the staff that we worked with to make the concert were also happy for us.
T: My family was also happy for us, and I was surprised that when I got home, there was a cake!
Ki: Along those lines, I’ve... got nothing.
M: You know, I also don’t have any particularly great episodes, but... is this okay?!
Ki: There it is. You’re implicitly leading up to something... (laugh).
M: When I got home, my mother who’d come to see the concert congratulated me and I was really happy.
F: How entirely normal~ (laugh)!
M: But my pop said, “You’re debuting, right? Buy me a car.”
F: As expected of the Miyata family. Making people laugh (laugh). By the way, our CD debut is getting close, but how’s your current mental state? As for me, it’s “anticipation,” like wondering how much I can do. I think that until now, I’ve learned a lot from people, and while properly understanding people’s pain and such, I’d like to tackle various things.
T: That’s right. Our strength lies in all the experiences we’ve had until now. We’ve observed various sempai, so we’ve absorbed their good points. We’re also confident that we won’t become full of ourselves, right?
F: Definitely not. We’re all different from each other, but I want to demonstrate that when we’re together we’re an unbelievable force, and I want us to be a group with many different facets.
Y: When we debut, I’m planning to go buy our CD myself. (Meanwhile, other members are blowing up balloons to be used for the TV Guide PLUS photo shoot.)
S: I want to strengthen my singing and dancing!
F: Even if you say that while blowing up a total of four balloons with both your mouth and nose, you still have no persuasive power. (t/n: I have no idea what he means)
M: I want to be on a variety show.
2: In any case, we can only improve ourselves. Um, I’m anemic from blowing up too many balloons...
M: Lack of oxygen, right (laugh)? (See the balloon project in TV Guide PLUS on sale this summer ♪)
