Once more, the Grouse needs your help and is willing to sell fannish stuff.

In case you are coming here from Tumblr, here are my two previous posts on my current situation--basically, I got a flat that turned out to be unliveable in and now I am incredibly strapped for cash because the new flat that I've just found is even more expensive and the costs of moving and whatnot (especially when my move here swallowed up all my savings) are insane. Reading those will help you get an idea of how messed up the entire situation is and how little my folks are willing to help me in this situation.

So right now, I'm strapped for cash--and even by careful estimates, I need at least 220 Euros right now, in December, to pay off January's rent so the landlord can give us the keys and Dad and I can go in and do minor renovation in the flat because it's in such poor condition. Yet this minor renovation (the money for which I will need in Dec-Jan because we're going to do this between Christmas and the first week of January) and the cost of moving my stuff in will swallow approximately 400 if not 500 e since we have to do it ourselves, and the landlord isn't willing to help with the costs of the materials, so, you know, *yay*. Not. And on top of that? In February I will need 1240 e to pay off the extortionate deposit for the new flat.

Therefore, I'm selling various books and magazines (slashy, Doctor Who, Pagan, cultural history) and two sets of Tarot/oracle cards to the highest bidders. I will only accept payment through PayPal, preferably in Euros, and please contact me personally for the postage costs--I will ship worldwide, but probably only second class because Finnish postage costs are ridiculous these days. However, if you do want your stuff sent fast and are willing to pay extra for the postage, I'm fine with that too.

But here we go--onto the items!

First of all, Doctor Who books and magazines. Most of these involve David Tennant and John Simm, so a lot of it is S3 stuff.

Aliens and Enemies--great and fun book that came out around S2. Includes the monsters from the first few seasons and also tidbits on the Rani and the Master, with several monsters and foes from the old series as well. Mint. Price suggestion: 10 euros+postage.

Doctor Who Annual 2008--plenty of S3 stuff, including stuff on the Master and whatnot--see the pic below this one.

Master article in the above annual. Again, mint, only read a couple of times. Price: 10 e+postage.

Magazines: One copy of Radio Times with a gorgeous photo of Dave on the cover, as well as two issues of SFX. Please note: I am willing to carefully cut out the relevant articles from these magazines in order to save on postage, but if you want the entire magazines (maybe easier), just let me know which you prefer.

Another gorgeous photo of Dave in the RT article--also includes an article on the filming of Single Father. Radio Times mag price suggestion: 7 euros+postage.

This is the SFX issue with the X-Men cover: it includes this very sexy photoshoot of Dave after he'd just landed the role of Ten.

UNF

UNF, I SAY! Price suggestion: 15 euros+postage.

And the middle magazine includes a whole S3 season guide with tons of information and loads of gorgeous pictures:
here's one from The Sound of Drums. Price suggestion: 7 euros+postage.

David Tennant: A Year In The Spotlight: a book written by a fan who followed him through the internet for an entire year. Great stuff for RPF fodder and whatnot; essential for any Dave obsessive. This book was sold only for charity, but Im suggesting 7 euros for the price of this, plus postage, as I do need the cash.

Cybermen by David Banks--the handsome gentleman who often played the Cyberleader in the Classic series--a wonderful, lavishly illustrated guide to the Cybermen from before the new series. Essential reading for any Cyberman fan. Price suggestion: 10 euros+postage.

A set of Farscape postcards--now out of print and extremely hard to find. Suggested price: 7 euros+postage.

Doctor Strange and Mr. Norrell--bestselling novel. Suggested price: 7euros+postage.

The House of Wisdom--a brief book dismantling Western prejudices about Islamic culture and focusing on the sciences (medicine, geography, architecture, culture, the rescuing of Classical Greek/Latin texts by Arab scholars and whatnot) in the medieval Islamic world. Price suggestion: 7 euros+postage.

Devi--Tales of the Goddess in Our Time--wonderful book that explores the empowering force of Hindu Goddesses in India's oppressively patriarchal culture. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Goddesses and women's studies. Price suggestion: 10 euros+postage.

Pagan books and Tarot cards:

All books: 10-15 e+postage. (Google these books, I'm too exhausted to write summaries, but they're pretty good stuff)

Starhawk: The Pagan Book of Living and Dying

Starhawk: The Twelve Wild Swans

Starhawk: The Earth Path

Francesca de Grandis: Be A Goddess! (Feri tradition)

The Goddess Oracle (extremely hard to find these days): 25 euros+postage (I paid twice the amount when I got it)
The Vertigo Tarot: By Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean. First edition, extremely hard to find, valuable as hell (it's since been reprinted, but this edition is more valuable). Slightly scuffed package, but the book (written by Gaiman) and the cards are in pretty good condition, considering this came out about two decades ago. I paid an extortionate 700 Finnish Marks (117 Euros) for it at the time, but now I am willing to part with it for 70-90 Euros+postage. This is probably the cheapest you'll get the first edition for, though, as these sell for crazy money on eBay (161 e, meaning $200 or so).

So, without further ado, leave your offers in the comments below. If more than one person wants a given item and you would like to bid for them, feel free to do so in response to the first offerer's comment. But if there's only one offer for a given item, these will go on a first-come-first-served basis.

And of course, should you not be interested in any of these, you can donate cash through these handy links here. Also use these links to pay for the items--I shall try and package and weigh the items ASAP so I can give you the full total before you send off the money. Also feel free to contact me in the comments of this post or through my Tumblr's fanmail or Ask function for anything you need to ask (but it's way easier here on this post's comments, JSYK). The Tumblr post for pimping this sale is here.
