57 k today, BTW. Turns out the plot sort of resolved itself, even if I wonder whether people will go "bzuh" if they expected something bigger. But things kind of... happened. And I wrote like 5800 words today and really surprised myself, considering how little I'd slept and everything. I'm not sure it's of great quality, but that doesn't matter, as I can go and make it more flowery later. And random porn kind of slipped in today and I was just whooooa. Especially as it was all OCs, too, but it was hilarious and unf. It kind of needed to happen after the really horribly sad stuff that'd come before.
I think I have only one or two chapters left. Meaning mostly the last happy unfings! \o/ Shall see how it goes.
I also went back and fixed two of my Jaffar/Princess manips. Meaning the one where he noms her and then the really moody, romantic and dark softcore one where they make sweet love (which is probably the best one I've made of them so far). Both had probably fewer than 100 pixels to fix in total, but they were pixels that were FUCKING BUGGING ME and now they look much better. It's really annoying that often you spot really obvious problems only some time after you've posted a manip because you do become so damn blind to it that you can only stare at certain bits without seeing the whole. A bit like you become blind to your own text and start to read it automatically and aren't as good at spotting mistakes because your brain's getting numbed. (I still have to keep going back and fixing typos in some of my old fics if I reread them. Every damn time.)
But, you know. Those two deserve all the written and Photoshopped love in the world. <3 I guess I should have used a romantic icon of the two but fuckit, Nyan Veidt makes me happy, so you get Nyan Veidt.
