-Just when you thought nobody painted beautiful, old-fashioned paintings any more, along comes Italian
Roberto Ferri. His works are a gorgeous mix of Baroque and Symbolism with exquisite chiaroscuro and sometimes disturbing imagery. What I really, really love about this work is that it truly is timeless--a lot of the supposedly old-fashioned art these days always has annoyingly modern elements in it (like people with makeup and haircuts you can date to a certain modern decade, corny contemporary goth stuff) and so on. Absolutely gorgeous stuff.
-Converted two people to the wonder and joy that is The Princess Bride. A job well done. I already have Thor lined up next.
-Really enjoying Fry's Planet Word. Ok, so I disagree with him about a few things (like on whether certain animal species have language--they bloody well do as far as I'm concerned and dismissing that actually upset me more than it probably should have--some apes are more articulate than most people on fucking Twitter), but mostly it's been fascinating stuff. And The Tenninch is going to be on the next episode! \o/
-Life is good.
-Have an autumn kurnau. Looking sulkier than she feels, again.
-ETA: Stop press. I just heard someone actually refer to Divided Loyalties as "the best PDA". What. Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha<3 Seriously. Whodom, you never fail to surprise me with your WTF. Ahahahahahahahaha<3 "SURELY NOT KOSCHEI, SWEET KOSCHEI," ETC.
