Following via tags
OH MY FUCKING GOD, LIVEJOURNAL FINALLY RELEASED A NEW FEATURE THAT'S ACTUALLY USEFUL AND NOT SHIT.
Namely, following someone by tags. So, basically, you can go here and select which tags you want to follow. So, for instance, if you're sick of my Doctor Who and/or timecock ramblings, you can choose to exclude the entries with that particular tag in. Or, conversely, if you're here just to see pics of John Simm blowing David Tennant, you can select those tags and omit the ones wherein I blather on and on about how AWESOME my cat is.
Dude, FINALLY. I've wanted this feature for years. Shame you can't do it to someone you're not friends with, I don't think. Which kind of sucks, as I'm not sure why the fuck a random timecock lover would come in and read my cat posts and all that (which is still why strangers who friend me get auto-banned from commenting, because... creepy, dude).
I wonder if this works if you add in tags afterwards? It probably doesn't? Problem is, I often have to edit the post to add appropriate tags because I have so many I forget. But at least you Finnish folks won't have to read my Who crap now, which is of the good.
