The day's been sunny with a few clouds. Noki was surveying her domain.
Today was the first day (in the new flat, that is) she came to greet me at the door when I came in:). That made me squee so much I nearly dropped my groceries on her head. She's definitely settled in now.
And yesterday, despite the emos I was having, I finally felt useful again. I've been immersing myself in Persia stuff and reading loads of random things for research and pleasure, and I really love it when versaphile asks questions like these: "What would the members of the council be sitting on? How would they greet the Master? Do you know any Persian stories about loyalty to one's king?" AND I can come up with answers off the top of my head:). I haven't been able to feel like a walking encyclopedia in ages--and finally, it comes in handy:D.
And speaking of lovely friends, Gene got me out of my bad funk by cracking out at me (which is exactly what you need when Whodom brings wailing and gnashing of teeth) and I got to talk to pineapple_sky last night and she is even sweeter on IM, not to mention gorgeous.
In other news, I HAVE BROADBAND AGAIN. \o/ I had to borrow my folks' mobile network dongle thingy ("mokkula" to you Finns out there) and was getting a bit miffed at 50-minute A2A and Who episodes taking almost two hours to download:P. But now I'm back to a comfortable 8 meg download speed. MY WEB. MY WEEEEEEEEEEEEBBB.
