(no subject)
so i really haven't written in forever, but there really has been a lot going on, i just haven't felt like writing about it.
last time i updated was when elphie died, and it seriously broke my heart. we ended up losing three animals in a two week period, we also lost houdini, and the guinea baby i got to "replace" elphie, roxy. so that was an extremely bad tim efor the slone family. but *knock on wood* right now everything ins going well when it comes to pets, we have three new kittens to keep leo comapny, because he was miserable without a companion, and poor old coco just can't play much anymore. so we have bo, kerry, and clay. yep, my parents named then after american idol people. sadly though, their personalities fit. weird, i know. i on the other hand now have two boys, mocha and latte, that are my companions. they are absoloutly adorable. play all the time, and love to eat anything i'll put in their cage. so after that whole hard time, there is some good.
it's just hard when you do everything right and they still pass away so young. houdini from a blood clot which we knew would happen but not this soon, and elphie and roxy from a virus come to find out, that they would have been born with. depressing.
in other news, i finished up for the summer at mcAlisters and i finished up at he aquarium on wednesday. I was so sad to leave the aquarium, becuase I love them all so much there and everyone was so great. wednesday thy took me out to lunch and crystal and i exchanged presents although neither one of us knew the other had gotten something, and they even gave me a belated birthday crd that everyone signed, which just made me teary because they really didn't have to do that. so I just felt really special. they've told me i must come back and visit for breaks and work at least a day, and that if i ever need a summer job, i would always be welcome tom come get paid to work as summer staff in the rainforest. yay! so excited. pictures of me and penguins will be coming soon.
i guess the only really big thing tha'ts going on is that i leave for vegas tonight. very excited, s it will be a few quality days with my parents that we all really need away from the world and the problems adn stress we've had to go through this summer. on the agenda are shopping, a meal at the rainforest cafe, tours of a bunch of the hotels, more shopping, a tour of a chocolate factory, some time at the mandalay bay aquarium and for me a personal tour with the chief curator of the aquarium for an afternoon. so excited. he's just such a nice guy, it should be a great time. then i come back and it's only a week until i go back to school. craziness, and i still don't have everything together. it will all come together eventually.
