Flight was uneventful yesterday and Mom got here about an hour later. First order of business was to find a supply of water for the altitude adjustment. Glad I brought the GPS to help find places near the airport.
Finally headed up into the mountains at about 3:00pm yesterday and it was crystal clear except for some haze. Was 50 degrees in Denver too. A lot of traffic coming down from the mountain due to the 93rd Annual Winter Festival and backed up for miles. As we broke away from the interstate and headed north to Steamboat dusk was setting in followed my a brilliant full moon that lit up everything. It was just beautiful seeing all of the snow lit up with the moonlight.
It's 20 degrees this morning and getting ready to head out as soon as I get my gear together. Cloudy right now, but no expecting any snow since it's so dry. Lows are around 0 and highs around 40, so major temperature swing.
