Spring explosion
Huge turn in the weather the past week now. We went from highs in the 50's to high's in the 80's and close to 90 a few times. The trees and flower are just exploding with color..., and pollen. Seriously. The pine pollen is thick this year. Usually it just coats everything lightly with yellow dust for a week or two. This weekend it was like a pollen storm. At one point yesterday the wind stirred up some of this pollen from the trees (it was calm most of the day) and it enveloped out street with a yellow cloud of pine pollen at one point. Cars everywhere are coated with pollen. I'll be glad when the next rainstorm comes through and washes this away. Until then, more upper 80's until Thursday. Spring never lasts long here in North Carolina.
