(no subject)
So...tired.
I had Friday off at the school and I was on-call for the restaurant. Awesomely, when I called in, I wasn't needed. The only time I got dressed all day was to go buy some Ben & Jerry's in the evening! Saturday and Sunday I worked nights. Saturday night was awesome, because I talked to Brittany on the phone for almost two hours after work; I really needed that. Sunday was the worst; I worked so hard & got home around 10:00, but when I went to bed I did that thing where you're not really sleeping, you're just sort of drifting in and out and meanwhile, your brain is running a mile a minute. I kept running over menu items and wine lists and all sorts of stuff. I kept looking at the clock thinking, "If I can fall asleep now, I can get 6 hours of sleep, that's decent." "Okay, five hours." I finally got to sleep at 4:30, which meant I got about an hour of sleep. I was exhausted all day yesterday and wanted nothing more than to go home, but I subbed 3/4. Then I had to rush out to buy a confirmation gift and card for Kayla. I got her the newest Franz Ferdinand CD, which she's been wanting, then rushed to the cards. The religious section was really limitied, and especially the confirmation ones, so I grabbed the least cheesy looking one and ran. I signed it in the car and then went right to Essex. She loved the gift, and when she opened the card she started laughing so hard. She said, "Um, why does it say 'congratulations granddaughter?!'" I was in such a hurry I didn't even notice! =P
The confirmation was soooooo long, but she looked cute. Jenna was her sponsor, and she looked nicer than usual (my other sister hates nothing more than the effort of trying to "look nice"). I didn't get home 'til 10:00 and did not get anywhere near enough sleep by the time I made it to bed. I can't wait to go home today at noon and get a nap in. They wanted me to sub 3 & 4 again today, and I had an internal struggle over that since I need the money so much, but I figure I did it yesterday and now I'm getting paid at the restaurant. Today I really need the sleep more, because I'm on call today and tomorrow for the restaurant, so hopefully I'll only have to work one of those nights (since I have Thu.-Sun. to work, also).
I'm so pissed because when I brought my car in last week to have the tires changed, I noticed a couple of days later that my right front tire had very little air in it (which at least explained why the car was listing to the right all the time). But I thought maybe it was just from being in the garage for so long, or the changing process, or whatnot, so I put some air in it this weekend and within one day it was practically flat again! It's leaking!! So now I'm filling it all the time and I have to find the time to bring it all the way back to Jericho to have them look at it. Not only does that suck, but it better not be expensive, 'cause frankly, I can't afford much and it was their fault!
