and the dust settles
Yesterday, I had my final dentist appointment before returning home. My teeth were fine, and the brown spots I was worried about were just stains from the massive amounts of tea that I drink here. :P They came off easily in the cleaning process, and now I have sparkly white teeth again. It was hard to finally say good-bye to my dentist. He has been a fantastic dentist, and his hygienists are all wonderful ladies. Not to mention the fact that his office made going to the dentist not only bearable, but almost enjoyable.
After that, I went to see Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea again, because it is honestly the cutest little movie. I understood nearly all the dialogue this time, with the exception of a couple of lines, which helped me enjoy the story a bit more than the first time I saw it. Disney better bring it over to the States soon. And I need to find out when Studio Ghibli is releasing the other versions of the song from the movie - there's a new longer version that plays in the movie theatre before the movie, and a demo version that played with one of the trailers.
Today is Sunday. I have finished all of my packing, and almost all of my moving preparations. The TV and DVD player went on to their new home with Ms. K. After she left, I hooked up the old TV to the VCR, but it is so old that I do not know how to hook it up to receive channels. 0_o There seem to be wires, knobs, and little metal bits involved on the back of the TV. But I am sure the Board of Education people can figure it out after I leave.
The only thing left to do is clean, and take out all the trash. That's it. And I do not move out until Wednesday. This means that until Wednesday, I shall be mind-numbingly bored in this apartment. Thank the good Lord for the Internet! ;)
Thinking of taking a walk today, though. If I can make it all the way up to the new shopping center, I can reward myself with ice cream...
