Here's an update to start off the month of August!

So my EMTP (Entry Management Training Program) for Lowe's has started as of last week. However, it has been difficult to do the projects I need to have done before next week. All this week we've been poorly staffed for cashiers. Though, we've hired a few more; after 5pm there would be no cashier to run a register on the front end. Meaning that the garden center would be closed early and I would be running the front end. Long story short, there hasn't been a time for me to break away for an hour to work on my projects. I was lucky to take an hour for lunch. Somehow I have to find time to do these projects and get them graded by my coach before Tuesday. That's going to be a fun task, since I only have a few more days to do it in.

Today and tomorrow I have the day off. So I came to my parent's house in Whitney, like I normally do when I have consecutive days off. Though considering the hour, I suppose you could say yesterday and today for the days off. Anyway, I went to Cleburne and met up with my best friend Chris after he got off work. We went to Burleson and ate at Olive Garden before heading to Best Buy. It was while I was there that I finally decided I wanted to get a digital camera. I've been putting it off for a long while now, but I couldn't resist any longer. I bought an Olympus Stylus 770 SW. It's shockproof, waterproof, and has image stabilization. It's such a cute little camera that's so durable and what I've been looking for. I'm stoked to have it! I can't wait to use it! I got a carrying case and 2MB memory card for it too. You bet that I will have a lot more pics now. Haha. Also in addition to the new camera, I bought the Hellsing Series, U2 Best of 1990-2000 music video DVD, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I've been waiting for the right time to buy those DVDs and well, I decided that time couldn't be any better.

In other news, I'm looking forward to when Kevin comes back from Iraq. It's really nice talking to him online when he has the time to chat. However, I can't wait to hang out with him in person. It's been eleven years since I last saw him in person and I know we've grown up quite a bit. He's asked me if I wanted to come and visit him, how can I pass up such an opportunity? He should be back in Hawaii sometime in October. What a perfect month. I don't know why, but I've always liked that month. Maybe it's fated to be a good reunion? Haha. We shall see. Either way, couldn't think of a better place to also take some awesome pictures with my new camera!
