its been awhile
Wow.. Its been over a year since Ive updated or even looked at livejournal.
I dont think really anyone on my friends list even updates anymore. I barely look at facebook anymore which is sad.
Well, more then halfway done with this deployment. OMG. I'm used to 6-7 month deployments but this one has been the longest dragging deployment EVER. Still seems like we have forever to go. Got thru all the holidays..barely. Had his parents over here for 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and OMG..that was the worst 2 weeks of my life! I work full time and lets just say that my house isnt really clean..and you know what, its really not horrible but its not great either. But my downtime is MY downtime. I dont want to spend it cleaning the house for the kids to be tornadoes right behind me.
So since Shawn had been gone, ive been trying to keep myself busy with a full time job at a restaurant. I make my own hours which is great. I go in, make all the lovely desserts and go home. Being a pastry chef with creative freedom is great! I want to get my kids in after school activities but its hard to juggle by yourself. So thats just going to have to wait until Shawn gets back...which reminds me.. all his family wants to come surprise him when he comes back. I really dont want them to come. Ive been waiting very patiently to "get some" and now theyre gonna sorta ruin that. I think theyre doing it to sorta piss me off...but then again, I think its only his mother that does that to me. I'm glad that they live on the other side of the country...lol
