Would love to keep my voice
My final is all turned in. I have three classes and student teaching left! YAY! I am so excited. In other exciting news, Cherri finished my rainbow scarf! It looks amazing. I can’t wait to wear it. The only thing from stopping me from wearing it now is sickness, which I don’t want all over my awesome scarf.
Steadily feeling better. I’ll be happy if I don’t lose my voice today. One of my mentors had to leave early but there wasn’t enough time to allot a sub to it. So my second mentor took the kids for the last 45 minutes. Only problem, my mentor doesn’t know all of the other class’s names. Bonus, I do. Yesterday the kids were like “Why are you using a different voice today?” So I told them I had a cold and that because they insisted on misbehaving that I often had to call out to them, it strained my voice even more. So then they were asking me a bunch of questions and insisting I go to the doctors. On a plus side, when I mentioned that I was having a hard time with it, they started behaving a lot better.
