Writing Updates: Family - Devil Inside
Urk. No Meruru. So I’m finishing up Agarest as quickly as I can, thankfully it’s not too hard just a little tedious to get through the battle points. Then I need to finish up Alice (I’m on Chapter 4/6). But between nausea and headaches, I haven’t been able to sit down and focus on it (as it makes it so much worse). So Agarest first, then Alice equilibrium pending. I’m on Generation 4 (of 5) in Agarest, so I am getting somewhere.
In Agarest, I really only like Leonhardt (1st Generation) and Thoma (3rd Generation). The other leads aren’t as amusing for me. Duran can be kind of snarky, which is nice but he sends more time brooding about his meaningless existence and how he’s not like his hypocritical father. His father, Thoma, was awesome because he took after Winfield, so all he did was laze about and hit on women (haha, the only thing that would have made it funnier for me was if he started calling them his honies). Duran on the other hand hates everyone and thinks it’s stupid he has to live a short life that he couldn’t care less about. He’s mad at his father for whatever reason (this whole thing is Leonhardt’s fault). Basically Duran’s just brooding and angsting and it’s really annoying me - Leon and Thoma were both fairly upbeat, which I’m really happy about. But then Ladius (2nd Generation) was a little too focused on fulfilling his destiny, he reminds me of Leonis (Record of Agarest War Zero, 2nd Generation), and he’s kind of boring too. Lack of character development there. I’m hoping that Duran’s son isn’t anything like Duran.
Alberti reminds me of Cid though, too bad he uses daggers (otherwise I’d totally put him in the party). And Winfield reminds me of Vincent (dark hair, red bandana, guns, lost the woman he loved, pretty much immortal, and being taken over by darkness) except for the fact that Winfield is a flirt. XD And actually for the longest time, I called Winfield “Wincent” because of it. Now I just call him “Win.” One it’s shorter, two he’s made of Win (one would think he’d learn not to try and peek at the girls in the hot spring, but after 3 generations, he’s still doing it). He really breaks up the seriousness of the rest of the party, so it’s a nice change up.
Right now my party is Duran, Leonhardt, Silvi, Zerva, Faina, and Ellis. Not sure if I want to put Thoma back in, although I certainly could. Nothing says I have to use Duran. And Thoma’s not that far behind in level so it wouldn’t be too problematic. I also have Reverie, she’d probably be nice to put in too. She’s a spear wielder and she’s not too far behind in level either. Hrm, then who would I swap out? I suppose I don’t care one way or another about Duran or Faina (she’s a back up healer).
A big THANK YOU to Mikari for being awesome. (And patient and ttly knowing what she’s doing). Guardian is all up and working now. Helped me with the project and getting it up again. <3
On Vdex, I just caught a shiny rattata! I’m looking for a shiny sentret. I figure I’ll probably also find a shiny pidgey before I find a sentret though.
I’m still trying to get all the financials sorted out so that I can start my graduate program. -_- It’s been a huge pain. I think I’m making a lot of progress now though. We’ll see!
