Friday after working at Applebee's, I packed my clothes and went to my grandmother's house to pick up her truck. From there, to my Aunt's to load up furniture my mom wanted. Then it was a 3 hour drive to Warner-Robbins Georgia (Near Macon) with only the radio. I really hate the radio because all I can stand to listen to is talk radio. The music stations are ok but I have become used to skipping tracks to get to something I like and I get bored with "Chorus verse chorus verse chorus bridge". It is annoying. Mom was very excited to have her furniture and to see me.

My parents are not divorced (as many seem to think). My Dad retired from the Air Force and continued to work at Duke Field in Niceville. My Mom made Chief and although fought hard, was sent on a Temporary Duty (TDY) to Warner-Robbins GA. She makes it to Tallahassee and Niceville every now and then, but I do feel sorry for her. I realized how lonely she must even if she hangs out with her friends (Which is hilarious, I never realized how much 30-40 year old women complaining about relationships sounds exactly the same as 18-25 year old girls in and out of college). She gave me stuff to bring to my brother and her friends in Niceville when I head home next week (I swear it is hard to stay in Tallahassee for a weekend). I also got some new clothes because apparently the Base Exchange (BX, a military department store of sorts) had a "HUGE" sale and bought a bunch of stuff. This drives my dad crazy, but in her defense she did save 210 dollars and spent 120.

On Saturday, we went to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta and despite the price it was very good. They had a ridiculous aquarium with 3 whale sharks, tons of fish, and many sting rays. It is the largest in the world, but it is crazy how huge it is when you stand next to the glass. They also had some Japanese Spider crabs that I have never seen in an Aquarium, but sadly everything else I have seen before. I must say I have become a zoo/aquarium know it all when it comes to these stupid tours my mom loves to take. Anytime she asks about something I spoil her tour with a shotgun blast of facts. Frankly, I'd rather sit and watch.

We then went to some fast food place called Varsity and it has been in business since like 1931 or something. It wasn't bad at all, but that was the LARGEST fast food place I have ever seen. We tried to see the Lourve (whatever) paintings in the art gallery, but navigating Atlanta with the maps provided was a total joke. We decided to just head home and watch DVDs.

Sunday was when I saw Hannibal Rising but mom saw something stupid like Dream Girls or whatever that Will Smith movie is. I was gonna watch her movie with her but she saw I was only doing it to be nice so she said I could see Hannibal alone if I wanted. (Yeah, that's right ladies... I can tolerate your crappy movies). After I packed up my stuff mom gave me leftovers to take home (delicious pot roast and green beans) and the drive home was the most irritating drive I have ever done. I HATE the radio on long trips because the stations constantly change and if you are alone it is very boring so you call people to talk to and NONE answer (yeah you Amanda! GRAWR!)

I also found more fold up cubes for Spaz so now he has 3 that hook together in a "L" shape and a bungee string thing with feathers that hangs on a door knob. He friggan went nuts with his new toys and did that cute cat smile that I swear I have only seen Spaz do (They open their mouth partly without exposing many teeth. Anyone else seen this?). Dad called to tell me he bought a charger for my camera off Ebay and my Diploma arrived to their house. He said it was a big envelope that said "Do not bend" but he wouldn't open it until I got home even though I told him to go ahead and make sure.

Still waiting for a callback from Famu, the interview went swimmingly and I felt I built adequate rapport with Berry and Andy, and I looked awesome with my suit and tie and even my Fossil watch which doesn't work but it still looks good. They said FAMU is changing presidents and has put a hold on hiring, so I'm supposed to hear from them sometime next week. I am just sick of scratching money for bills and what is left for gas/smokes/food (it seems in that order).

Ok, that was long but I am finished. I am about to get off work and go home to clean up a bit and maybe catch a few meetings. Until Next TIME gadget... NEXT TIME!!!
