Signs you should stay home...

So, the day started out exceptionally good... spending time with Jason, getting ready for work, all pretty normal. Then, I left for work and it all went downhill from there. So, I waited over 5 minutes for an elevator that never came. I listened at the door to see if it was working, and I heard nothing, so I don't know what was going on with that. So, I run down 21 flights of stairs with a leg that's still hurting me from 2 nights before only to find out that I had missed my bus. So, I wait out in the cold as 2 buses pass me by (because they weren't my bus), and I thought to myself "if the next bus isn't my bus, I'm calling in" Unfortunately, the next bus WAS my bus, so I got on and headed to work. I was about 15 minutes late. So, I go to talk to my manager, Michelle, because I written her a note that said that I needed the 17th off, and she has me scheduled till 10. She said that she had scheduled that week before she got my note, so I have to find someone to switch with me. At the same time, I know that Wanda is also scheduled till 10, and she needed the day off because it is her son's birthday. I'm really REALLY sick of Michelle. She's never there when you need her. Everyone keeps talking about what I great person she is to work for, but Victoria (who started a little over a week ago) and I see no great thing about working for her. In fact, she's like working for a 5 year old. You have to tel her and nag her and nag her until she finally MIGHT do something that you need her to do. It's absolutely ridiculous! So, I don't know if it's just the day in general or what, but I was seriously thinking about taking the pay cut and going back to World Market full time. I know the hours would suck, but I honestly think that I liked working there better than at Bloomingdale's. I don't know... maybe not. I have no idea. I just know that today sucked. Sucked, sucked sucked. So, I'm calling off from World Market tomorrow and spending the day with Jason! :) Yay to playing hookie!
