What's that they say about LJ? Never post when your angry, because you might regret it later? Ok, so maybe it's not an old LJ saying, but it probably should be. However, as usual, I am going to deny conventional wisdom and write something nasty anyway.
Got up today and went work excited, knowing that it was a 3 day holiday weekend. Was hoping to get to spend some quality time with my husband, see some friends, go out and party, the whole nine yards. Have been really down in the dumps lately about moving away from NY and leaving my job and friends. So anyway, I got a call from my lovely husband about 3pm today, advising me that he "just found out" that he had to go on assignment for work this weekend and wouldn't be home until Tuesday. Said he was already on his way out of town and that, oh by the way, our original plans to hang out with friends in Baltimore were canceled, so...enjoy the next four days sitting there by yourself. (I would have at least appreciated a little notice to maybe make other plans...) Blown off by my new husband on a 3 day weekend after he made me move to Maryland. Kind of pissed me off. I no longer take too kindly to his job screwing up our lives. And let me tell you, it happens all the time. Luckily, after his phonecall, I checked my email, and there was a sweet message from my friend Becks saying that she and another friend from college wanted to come down to Maryland to spend Sat and part of Sunday hanging out. I think I am going to see my friend Dave in DC on Monday, so at least I will be busy and get to catch up with friends. But let me tell you, I have had it up to HERE! with a certain law enforcement agency and a stupid husband that is totally willing to let his stupid job take over our lives. Anyone know a nice financial advisor they could set me up with?
