I is back
Well, I’m back. And all I can say is, Busted gig - I had a FANTASTIC time. Definitely a night to remember for all the right reasons.
First highlight, we got to meet V - or, well, 4 of V. We did see Aaron but he basically came out, said hi and then disappeared again. But got the others’ autographs so that was pretty cool. I also have a decent pic of Leon, and one of Mark - the others didn’t turn out very well but they did. We also got glimpses of Matt and Charlie from afar which, again, the pictures didn’t come out, but was still kinda cool.
Merchandise, I went a little crazy - but then I have said I was going to ever since I got my job, so it’s all Pixie. In all I got a t-shirt (kid’s - hey, I don’t object to saving £2!), a Matt badge, scarf, programme, red and black sweatband, and a Matt picture which even my mum was impressed with. Came to about £47 in all, but hey - I said I was gonna treat myself.
The gig itself kicked ass. First off were Undesided, who were really good, they were quite rocky which is never a bad thing. Then was V, who were good - apart from not being able to see cos of all the kids standing on seats. I mean fair enough, they’re only little, but if they’re standing on seats, we can’t see. And when, during Busted, we did the same thing, we got called down. *sigh* Never mind…
So yes, V were good and then it was Busted. I could just cop out and describe it all as fantastic, which it was, but there were a couple of standout moments. First was the little cartoon thing playing behind them in Falling For You - never gonna hear that song in the same way ever again.
Next was Matt’s solo, for which he did Should I Stay or Should I Go. It was really good, though it was a little annoying when, after we’d made our way to his side of the stage to get pictures, he went to the other side - where we had been before, only we moved to get him. *le sigh*
And third major point was again Matt - well what do you expect, it’s me. Bless him, he wasn’t having much success with 3am - first he missed his cue for the start of his verse, then he was laughing too much to sing or remember his words, so in the end he was like, “You all sing it." Bless…
Also have to mention their heads being superimposed onto women’s bodies during She Wants To Be Me…rather disturbing…
Bought quite a bit of stuff today because, hey, everything decided to come out today. I got Girls Aloud’s new album, V’s album, the Busted DVD, the Keane album as part of mum’s Christmas present, and Al’s Christmas present which I won’t mention here ;) I also bought the Band Aid single - well it had to be done.
Work again tomorrow - I am so tempted to wear my sweatband underneath my fleece, just to have it there *is aware of how sad that may sound*. But meh, it’s all Pixie.
