Blame UKTV: Bright Ideas

Yes, blame them and their marathon Design ER weekend. This is a show that I have watched occasionally in the past, on the grounds that Kathryn Rayward is one of the few designers I'd actually let loose in my house - along with Phil Turner to do all the craftworky stuff, though Paul Roseby can stay at home, thank you.

Anyway, so with them having the uber weekend, I've been watching a lot of it, and the more I watch the more I like. So I had a nosey on the UKTV Style website and found this:

It should be lights

The first point of squee was the following:

I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't wait till Christmas to break out the fairy lights (or even wait till Easter to tuck into the chocolate, but that's a different story all together!)

for two reasons - one, the chocolate thing is funny. Second, I LOVE fairy lights, so that one should be obvious too.

Second squee is the light-up brick Mathmos Tumbler-Flip, followed directly by McCloud & Co Ltd. Bespoke Designs. The first is funky, the second I would have in my house in a flash (no pun intended).

And I'm done.
