Why can't pet ownership be easy for me? Why do I always own animals that make going out of town a HUGE hassle and piss everyone off at ME? *sigh It used to be Squirty was the issue...he did not do well without me, so had to stay with people...plus kenneling him was pricey. Now we have Shamus...we "thought" our good friend here would watch him, the man ONLY lives less then a block from us...we where like...just come over twice a day... NO go. He has issues with a kenneled dog...and has issues...period. Can't leave the dog loose outside do to idiot child...and its friggin hot. SO now, less then week from our big trip and everything is booked...and we have to sneak a Labrador to the bed and breakfast family reunion. Right now, I am fighting with hubby and son on WHO is exactly staying home...to watch the dog.... Its bad enough my garden with all the vegetables is gonna die...the kids will be crushed...but the dog issue...is a bad family issue now. It looks as though this is our last dog I am allowed to own due to this issue...*sigh. Here I was hoping for a small fluff ball by the end of summer...but NOW...I am screwed.
D has waited ALL year to go on this trip...so I don't want him to miss out. M is willing to fly there for a few days...but I refuse to be there without hubby. I wish to stay home...THINK of the quiet I would have...the peace...the things I'd get done...and the tears I would shed. I could do it...I know I could... Hubby says the boys could not do it...but I think they'd be fine.

No the cats are never an issue...ever...its ALWAYS my dogs that are the issue...
People wonder why I never sleep...why I have anxiety...let me LIST the reasons.
Oh yeah...Shamus...is NOT man friendly either...hell he is not stranger friendly...so this is reason #1 that life with this dog is a pain in the butt when we go out of town...
