Action | 5725 Cunningham Lane

[It is cold, and it is snowing, and honestly--if there are things Riza really has to admit to hating, it is snow. She is from the Eastern part of her home country where it was always warm. The cold of Central City was something she could handle when her uniform was the heavy, starched blue wool. She is far grumpier ( Read more... )

[ Eva isn't really enjoying the snow in the sense other people would - she's not throwing snowballs, or anything of the like - but she still seems to find it good enough to walk around in it and simply take in the atmosphere.

It's then that she spots a familiar dog prancing around, and only a moment after that the familiar person she would expect that dog to be with. ]

Hmm, he seems to be quite enjoying the snow, isn't he..? [ she giggles. ] Good evening.

[Oh yes--the snow is pretty, it's nice to look at. From the window. Hayate yips excitedly at Eva and wags his tail, excited.]

Good evening, Eva.

He does seem to like the snow. I'm glad someone does.

Good evening to you too, Hayate. [ She chuckles slightly as she directs that to the dog - apparently she's been in a slightly better mood lately. ]

Ah, well, most people out there seem to be enjoying the snow quite a bit today, right? The streets are rather lively.

They are. Though I'd much prefer the warmer weather, it's nice to see a lot of the children enjoying the snow.

[Hayate continues to wag his tail excitedly at being addressed, and then sits on the ground, resting his muzzle on Eva's shoes, looking pleadingly up at her. Please for petting]

Hmm, I suppose I don't mind either way.. As long as the snow doesn't get too ridiculous in the sense we'll all be snowed in.

[ At that she looks down, and.. well, after a moment of thinking even Eva can't really be rigid about this, so she bends down to pet the animal a little. ]

[There is no rigid when it comes to Black Hayate. He looks at you with puppy eyes, and you pet him--end of story.]

Yes--that would be much worse than this. Even the children wouldn't be able to enjoy the snow, and that's the only thing I'm finding that makes this even remotely bearable.

[ even the mighty Eva Ushiromiya succumbs to the power of dogs. ]

Ah, you don't have much of a sense for the charm of winter? I think there's something rather nice about the atmosphere, much better than that dreary fall.

[Riza does too. Riza, who strikes fear into the hearts of her male coworkers, pretty much melts at the power of Black Hayate's excited bark.]

Not quite. I grew up in the warmest part of the country, and didn't experience much by means of winter until I'd been stationed in Central City.

The snow is nice to look at, but I'm freezing. This ridiculous getup doesn't help. At least at home my uniform is wool.

[And has pants.]

[ Hayate just has magical powers.. ]

I suppose I can sort of understand it if it's not something you're used to.. It would always snow during winter where I lived, although it wasn't bad enough to get snowed in constantly or anything of the sorts. Just enough to be pleasant, just like this situation.

Well, surely there have to be warmer clothes to be found around here, right..?

Yes. The clothes in the house that aren't this uniform seem much warmer. Unfortunately my uniform has stayed the same regardless of the temperature.

[He does have magical powers. Speaking of, he's rolling around in the snow.]

At least I found warmer outerwear in the house. It's better than nothing.

Going out with 'nothing' would be quite a disaster no matter the situation, wouldn't it?

[ she giggles at her own joke. ]
