[It is cold, and it is snowing, and honestly--if there are things Riza really has to admit to hating, it is snow. She is from the Eastern part of her home country where it was always warm. The cold of Central City was something she could handle when her uniform was the heavy, starched blue wool. She is far grumpier

UWAAAAAHHH! WATCH OUT!
[A snowball goes arcing through the air and hits the tree that Riza has just walked under as it twitches slightly, then dumps all the snow nestled in its pine needles on her head in one giant avalanche as the girl peers over the mound of snow she has come running from]

[Riza stands, frozen to her spot for just a moment, before she starts frantically trying to get herself out of the mound of snow she's in. She's mostly only registering cold, cold, cold, cold, so when she finally frees herself mostly from the snow she's still attempting to brush off the remaining snow.]
[There is snow under her coat and hat, and she shivers, frowning. Her teeth are chattering as the snow underneath her coat and hat and stuck in her gloves starts to melt. Don't worry, she hasn't made the connection that the snow falling from the tree is related to the girl's antics.]
[Yet.]

Um, I'm sorry about that, I didn't see you till I'd already thrown the snowball.

It's all r-right. I'm j-just not used to c-cold weather.

I see training never helped you acclimate to cold weather, Lieutenant.

I'm f-from East City. We're lucky if we see snow once every t-three years.

[She has to bite her tongue to keep from laughing at the chatter in Riza's teeth.]

It's then that she spots a familiar dog prancing around, and only a moment after that the familiar person she would expect that dog to be with. ]
Hmm, he seems to be quite enjoying the snow, isn't he..? [ she giggles. ] Good evening.

Good evening, Eva.
He does seem to like the snow. I'm glad someone does.

Ah, well, most people out there seem to be enjoying the snow quite a bit today, right? The streets are rather lively.

[Hayate continues to wag his tail excitedly at being addressed, and then sits on the ground, resting his muzzle on Eva's shoes, looking pleadingly up at her. Please for petting]

Yo, hotness how's it goin'?

Hello, Mr. Dempsey. I'm doing well, though I'd much prefer there to be less snow. How are you?

I'm fucking awesome right now! Got some of my shit back not to long ago.

[And, for good measure:]
Are you enjoying the snow?

[And then she hears her name called, with Lieutenant attached, and knows it's someone from home. She recognizes that voice, and glances up, brow quirked in curiosity and then--]
Alphonse?
[She would love to be excited, except there is a part of her that just can't be happy that he is here.]

Mm, it's me! I didn't know you were here too.

It seems like quite a few of us are here. Have you met up with your mother and Edward, yet? They're both here.
