[While Riza and Black Hayate are playing, there's a large orange wolf lazing under a tree watching them. She kind of misses being that small.]

[Riza may not have noticed the wolf right away, but Hayate did--quickly, too. As soon as Black Hayate noticed, he hurried off, determined to make friends with said wolf. He's smart enough to stop a ways away, though. Just in case. Riza is only a few steps behind.

Hayate wags his tail and barks, as if asking if it's okay to come say hello.]

[Aww. He's cute and proper. Arf's ears turn forward and she gives a soft chuff with a light thump of her tail. He's more than welcome to come over.]

I require a Hayate-only icon!

[Yay! Hayate prances the last few feet over and wags his tail, all kinds of excited. Because yeah, new people are great, but new animals are even better. Hayate yips again, saying hello, and then looks back at Riza as if to say 'it's cool, you can come over too!' Riza stays a bit back anyway.]

He's so cute~

[Once he's close, Arf gives him a proper sniffing before licking his face once. She may have those huge fangs, but her entire body speaks of relaxation.

After a moment she'll look up at Riza, chuff and thump her tails a few more times. She supposes she could just talk to the human, but it's always more fun letting the humans think she can't talk.]

[Black Hayate wags his tail as he's licked, just because he knew his mommy well enough to know she'd probably worry about a big wolf licking his comparatively smaller face.

Riza can sense that maybe the wolf isn't too dangerous, and takes a few more steps forward, smiling.]

Have you made a new friend, Hayate?

[It seems he has as Arf flops on her side and yawns, tail still lazily beating the ground. Come on Riza... pet the wolf belly.]

[Hayate looks at her, because obviously he knows that Mommy is good at petting tummies. So she should totally pet Arf's tummy. Riza hesitates for just a second before crouching on the ground, offering her hand for the wolf to sniff.]

May I pet you?

[This is too funny. Arf's tail wags a bit as she leans over to sniff Riza's hand. Might as well memorize the scent. She'll rub her muzzle once against the hand, making sure to not brush her over sized canines against it, then flop back down.]

[When the wolf rubs it's face against her hand, Riza feels it's safe to assume that it will be all right to pet it, and gently rubs Arf's belly. Hayate grunts, as if unsatisfied that he was not being petted as well, and Riza scratches his ears, seeing as it was likely best to please both of them.]

[Ooooooooo belly rubs. Belly rubs are a wolf's favorite thing. Streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch.]

[And Riza is plenty happy to oblige how happy Arf seems to be with being petted. Hayate flops onto his side, his tail wagging and thumping gently against Arf's side.]

[Arf gives Hayate a friendly nuzzle before glancing at Riza.]

You're very good at that.

[Hayate huffs contentedly, completely oblivious to the fact that Arf started speaking. Hawkeye, on the other hand, isn't oblivious to the fact that the wolf is now speaking. She stops petting both of them, eyes wide.]

You can...talk?

[Skills-at-petting compliment has gone right over her head.]

Forgive me for not saying anything earlier, but it's been a long time since I was restricted to my base form for so long.
