Zephyr Update
I took Zephyr to emergency care this weekend so that she could get round the clock attention, fluids, glucose checks, etc. Turns out that along with the diabetes, renal failure, and mysterious infection, she was also experiencing ketosis. Ack.
I picked her up this morning to transport her back to her regular vet for more observation and testing. The emergency care vet thinks she has made great progress and is recommending a longer lasting insulin. I don't want to be premature, but I'm feeling much more positive and think she is going to pull through.......I should know more later today after hearing from her regular vet.
