charida's 5 words: (For the meme, see previous post)

1. Music
As damanique already gave me this word, this time I'll focus on music and Ellis.
She and I first met at Shadowrifts, and we got an immediate connection as we both had tinwhistles with us, which meant I spent quite a lot of time playing together, and getting to know each other through that. After that, I think we built our friendship around it, although there was a lot more than just the music. I do fondly remember the time I joined you at band practise, where you were practising the Pink Panther theme, and the theme from Dragnet (if I recall correctly).
We once did practise together, but some stuff arose (linked to the 'Changes' word I gave her earlier for this meme) and we haven't since, which I still regret. Hopefulle we can pick it up someday.

2. LARP
I guess I met almost all of my current friends through larp, and it's still a very big part of my life. It seems that larpers are just a different breed, and are the kind of people that I can really connect with. Unlike 'regular' people, who I find hard to really connect with.

3. Aiel/desert-people
That was a long time ago. This was the character I played when I met charida. Personally, I don't have a strong connection to Aiel, I've never even read the books that they are based on. The reason I joined the group is because the people that started it were good friends of mine (although I have since lost touch, which I also regret) and larping with friends trumps playing a background that you're very unfamiliar with.
Currently, I'm involved in a different desert-people group (based on 1001 nights) which will be going to Drachenfest, and which also promises to be quite fun, although it's a daunting lot of hassle.

4. Creativity
If I didn't have this, I'd probably have nothing. Perhaps it's just because I hate anything repetitive, and the only way to avoid that is to do things my own way. You could spend a lot of money buying something that few other people have, or you could make something yourself. Not being rich, I chose the latter.
Of course, it's also a talent to be able to do so, and something I am very grateful for, although I have no idea to whom I should be grateful. I think that simply using the talent is a show of gartitude.

5. Motorcycle (Tink?)
(Tink is my ex-gf. Perhaps you were referring to Twitch, which is the name of my motorccyle ?)
Even before I got my driver's license, I wanted to get a motorcycle. Partly because I really like them, and partly because they're a lot cheaper to own and run. My first cycle didn't last very long, it had engine problems and seized up one day, with a lot of smoke. Then I got my second, which I named 'Twitch' after the way she handled on the road. I spent several years driving to and from work, in summer and winter, but after I got my current job, I started leasing a car, and Twitch was parked outside. She was pretty banged up anyway (there was even a hole in the engine block). Now, after two years of disuse, a lot of stuff rusted up, and she's basically not worth repairing any more. I think I will be getting a new one shortly, when I have a bit more time on my hands. I'm not quite sure which to choose, but there's no rush.
