Party with the friends

I had Christmas Eve off from work, for a change. I spent the evening at annmorris' house. Turns out it wasn't just Christmas Eve for them. It was also the day Ann and Kendall's son, Kendall, got married to Tiffanie. Congratulations, kids! Kendall and Tiffanie are rather silly, like the rest of us. They did Dr Seuss wedding vows (which were really sweet and made me cry a little when Tiff read them to us later) and a wedding cake made to look like a boxing ring with Rock-em-Sock-em robots on top. The red one had on a little bridal veil. Pictures will probably make it onto annmorris' lj sometime soon.

Mr Snaz didn't come along because our neighborhood does luminaria (the candles in paper bags). He is sure that, if he's not watching them, they will catch on fire and burn the house down. I make fun of him about it, but I won't leave the house while the clothes dryer is running for the exact same reason, so I kind of understand.

The party was fun, with lots of nummy things to eat and lots of interesting people to talk to. I came home just before midnight and Mr Snaz and I opened the stuff in our Christmas stockings. My family opened presents on Christmas Eve and his on Christmas Day, so our compromise is to do the stockings and one present on Christmas Eve. We always try to put weird stuff in the stockings, and it's really my favorite part. This year, I got him a stick to the wall Reed Richards and he got me a squeezie ball with eyeballs, ears, noses and tongues on the inside (not real ones!). It's kind of gross, but really cool. Yeah, we have odd senses of humor.
