Today, when I got to work, I realised the freezer was ajar. Tried to close it, nope, wouln't shut. Opened it up to see what was blocking it and there was a HUGE BLOCK OF ICE there. Someone had left it ajar all day or overnight or something, so it was all frozen up. Whilst chiselling away at the ice with a butterknife (the hammer had gone missing), slushy ice began to pour out from behind, and then, snow!
So I did what any sane man would do, whilst at work, I built a snowman, my first one might I add. He (tits melted too fast to put on, so I decided upon a male) was about 30 cm tall, and had a scarf made out of wastepaper, eyes and buttons out of holepunch confetti, and a nose and arms out of scraps of foil. Not to mention a jolly smile made from the red cover of this month's Zebra, the rest conveniently placed under him to avoid making a mess. He lasted about half an hour before melting beyond repair, but I was pleased.
Its kinda sad that making a snowman was the highlight of my day.
Also, it seems I'm a social worker now. On the way home, I dropped by my mother's place. She often bribes me with free dinner to come see her. She told me how she'd been asked by people recently what course I, being her son, did. So she just wanted to check with me that she was right in saying I was studying to be a social worker or something. Having never as much as considered such a course, I laughed in her face. She then compared her not knowing what I study, to me not caring to know how to get her hot water system to work for me.
I am on par with a faucet.
