Snape accidentally rejects Harry

I'm looking for a fic where Harry intends to ask Snape to help him with his magical maturity. Snape's in a bad mood when Harry approaches him and he rejects him without realizing what Harry is about to ask him. I remember that the opening scene is Harry asking Dumbledore to find him someone else to help him since his first choice said no. There are also personalized gifts involved which Harry leaves for Snape and prompts Snape to realize what happened.
