‘Harry! Where have you been?’ Hermione half shrieked as Harry entered the common room hours late.
‘Yea, mate, we thought you got lost in Hogsmeade.’ Ron added. Harry just gave a non-committal shrug.
‘I was late to join you guys and met Snape.’ He answered, avoiding their eyes. Hermione frowned.
‘That wouldn’t have taken hours.’
‘He gave me detention.’
‘For five hours?’ Hermione scoffed.
‘It was pouring in Hogsmeade; we were stuck. Look, I’m tired, goodnight.’ Harry immediately headed for the dormitories leaving Ron and Hermione confused.
‘But your clothes aren’t wet.’ Hermione called after him.
Harry did not reply.
