Hey, why don't they write this kind of suspense and peril during the regular season?  
Stark and Carter bonding through danger and family values, Beverly back as the shady untrustworthy villain, Henry pulling through (yay! he's not the bad guy).  Even Fargo gets a hug.  And it's one consistent storyline for the whole hour, which I think was  a real ( Read more... )

So since when exactly is Nathan more trustworthy than Henry?  Ok, so since the end of last season, but still, it feels weird.  And oooh hey, Michael Shanks still has his SG1 physique (but doesn't have to wear sleeves!) and he translates well into an arrogant alchemist, don't you think?  Him, Stark, and Carter; Past, Future, Present -- I liked that.

I liked this week's episode of Eureka.  
They weren't juggling several different plotlines, so it actually had some time to develop logically and gave us clues that were actually relevant.  Kali (Calli?) was back -- I was afraid, after last week, that the writers had forgotten about her -- and she and Carter have an interesting dynamic (like awkward ( Read more... )

This week's episode of Eureka involved, as usual, some questionable physics, lightning fast conflict resolution, and misguided goodguys masquerading as villains.  But, there were some parts I liked :

But this week's episode was quite a bit better than they have been over the last few weeks.

Things I liked:  Zoe's investigative skills are pretty topnotch.  Jo likes a girly magazine.  Jack was still mad at Allison -- good, she deserved it.  Stark was enjoying himself playing with science.  SARAH's addicted to Jerry.  The look on Fargo's face as he surveyed his grandpa's name on the wall was grin worthy.  A hint of Jack's background was ( Read more... )

Good points =  Carter shirtless!  Jo's taste in men. *snicker* . Zoe's reaction to "her" dream.  The trucker is a painter.  Stark and Carter.  Efficiency expert giving dream-kissing advice.  Sleepover!  Sweet dancing shoes gift.
So-So points = Allison's will power seems to be shrinking.  Nathan's still obsessed.  No real bad guy ( Read more... )

This week's episode of Eureka . . . not my favorite, but not bad.  There are some nice moments:
