Well That Was Easy . . .

Went to court today -- the walk to the courthouse took just about twice as long as the proceedings did.  Go in, say guilty to the one charge (the actual wreck) and not guilty to the charge of not having insurance (I'd forgotten to exchange the card in the car for the new one), show the prosecutor the current insurance card, which allowed her to dismiss that charge.  Then I just pay the fine for the careless driving charge and the court fees and that's it.  All done.  I got all nervous about it for nothing, I guess.

Now, to seriously start finding a way to get a set of wheels -- I'll be looking into loans, I think.  It would be easiest if I could just borrow 3-5 thousand from my credit union, then find an old Honda in good shape and buy it.  Maybe have a thousand dollars left over to pay some bills.  Simple, right?  I wonder if I can get them to go along with that.  Or would I have to go to them with a car already in mind?  That would be harder -- how do I know if I want a car if I'm not sure i can pay for it?  Hmmm.  Maybe I should have taken some economic courses in college after all.

still, things usually have a way of working out it you don't stress over them too much.  That's my philosophy, anyway -- stress is unnecessary; life goes on.
