I sometimes have a tendency to babble
So, no_tags is this amazingly fun bandom fic challenge that I just had to take advantage of, because new fandoms are scary, right? But this challenge is ANONYMOUS, so the stress levels are like, nonexistent. :D
And there were SO MANY good fics to read, and people said really nice things about my fic, which made me happy, and the fic that was written for my prompt was AMAZING, which isn't surprising, since it was written by theopteryx who is also amazing. \o/
I wrote Drums and Monsters for the prompt "Frank/Gerard, vampire and werewolves, oh my!" Wherein all the werewolves have been taken as hounds by the Wild Hunt, except for Gerard, who's stuck looking frantically for his pack. And Frank is a vampire hanging out in a club called Spenser's Queene, who runs into Gerard and is just fascinated.
It was so much fun to write! And now fully half of the fic-bunnies in my head are set in this 'verse, so I have to thank whoever gave this prompt for some real inspiration. ♥
My prompt was "Frank/Gerard, space pirates!" Because who doesn't like space pirates, right? Andtheopteryx delivered Might I Have a Bit of Earth, which is this gritty, kind of heartbreaking epic adventure where Gerard and Mikey totally made me cry, and Gerard gets to channel Han Solo, and Frank is such an amazing little punk. &Frank;
I am SO GLAD I got the chance to throw my hat into the ring here.
