Last update before the holidays. Several things went into scraps as well as the gallery. Much more to come when I can finally stake a claim over the A3 scanner at TAFE.
Thursdays are a write off. Getting very sick of the vague disorganised women who conduct today's classes. I get to sit around in class doing bugger all because I'm ahead of everyone but still have to wait half an hour for the teacher to give me a "yes" or "no" on the particular change I've made to my piece before printing. Then, of course, they change their minds and insist that the "correct" alteration was what they had been insisting on all along (which inevitably turns a 5 minute edit into a two week saga). Or recommending changes, which after implementing, I am subsequently penalised on marks wise because they don't like that particular element in the piece. *shakes fist*
Cubs tonight should have been more entertaining than it was. I'm going to put that down to sustained grumpiness from class. This evening was science themed. They had to do experiments in groups (time how long it takes a candle to extinguish when covered with different sized jars) and as a pack (acids and bases: litmus tests). The vinegar + baking soda "explosion" always gets a good response. Then they had balloon races along string "track" from one side of the hall to the other. Missed out on several other experiments due to their general restlessness, but I might plan a few more for next term when the other leader is away.
Final week at school is going to be hellish. *prepares to charge the looming army of homework, brandishing scalpel and paintbrush*
Am really looking forward to the holidays for several reasons. One: Sleep. A chance to recharge and possibly work on personal art for a change. Two: getting away from the bigoted fucks in my class. Three: Moolah, finally. Workies, workies, workies. Hurrah.
