Someday I'll get around to answering comments, I swear.
But not today.
I'm absurdly tired--I drove to New Jersey and back (about 400 miles, round-trip) for a bridal shower this afternoon. I've put some 1500 miles on my car this month, which is slightly insane.
Now I'm sitting here grading papers--I have to grade at least five tonight. Then I have to finish prepping for the graduate exhibition tomorrow. Woo.
The Exhibition is basically a science fair. You put your project on a poster and talk about its importance to society. Yeah. "I read old books and write about them! See how exciting and relevant I am?"
Actually, I have this whole spiel about how my project will help further a necessary discussion on gendered concepts of literature, and how this could help us understand why books are classed in certain genres (like romance) or stigmatized as "girly." It's a whole thing. When I'm more coherent and less bleah I'll try and put it all down for you all. If you care.
If I'm extra-special-smart tomorrow, I might even win a prize. So. Yeah. English major at a science fair, hoping to win...something?
