First day of class was today.  With Don owing me so much money and forcing me to pay his bills I didn't have the money I needed to pay tuision so instead of taking my normal 2 or 3 classes a semester I am only taking one, which I MUST get nothing less than an A in.  I imagine it won't be SUPER difficult as long as I apply myself and do my homework like I should but the class has been warned that if any of us misses a class we're done.  No skipping what-so-ever.  There are 12,000 people taking this one class just at this campus and although they keep tutors and so forth on staff, they refuse to back up or anything for someone who has missed.  So if we do miss for some legitimate reason like a real emergency they might make an exception, but for normal people like me who doesn't ever get emergencies worth skipping school over... I just gotta buckle down, put my head to the wind, and plunk along like the turtle I am... slow and steady and all that jazz...

I've canceled Don's phone line officially, so I have given him a list of the money he owes me, why he owes it to me and when he caused himself to become indebted to me.  Mom also included a letter from herself and my father essentially stating that they will back me up in this and that if he doesn't pay me back the money there will be legal action taken.  It is high time to get this spider web cleaned up.  He has lied to my friends to turn them against me, he has refused to pay bills so I would be forced to pay them, he has lied to his family throughout our entire relationship telling them I hate them and so forth, then turning around and lying to me stating they hate me and that he hates my family...  the statement about my family is probably truth actually so that isn't a lie... but I just can't believe how much of a jerk he has turned into.  My mother stated that basically what happened is while he thought he would be able to use me for his own gain he kept me around, but when I made it clear his gains would be drastically diminished he decided I wasn't worth keeping around and he moved on to the next girl.  Who just happened to live down the hall from him while he's at school.  That is convenient huh?

He informed me over Christmas break when I notified him he needed to pay his bill, that his mother got into his face and refused to allow him to return to school until he paid his bills and stopped being so dumb.  I thought that was hilarious but he told me during an argument so I couldn't truly enjoy it until later; at which time I laughed my butt off!!  He worked in a potato factory over the summer while we were together, and it was during that time I saw him changing.  He stopped being so kind and became meaner and drank more... but basically his mother made him go back to that factory and get a job, even though he hated it.  You see mine is not the only debt he owes.  He also bought the girlfriend before me a car, putting it in his name and gave it to her as a gift with the understanding she would go halves on the payments.  She stopped making the payments and the creditors have been calling his parents house because they didn't know where else to turn, and so although I'm sure when I talked to his mother about all of this it didn't help the situation... however he would have gotten a royal butt chewing anyway so it was pretty much just fuel for the fire.

I had approached his mother about all of this, after attending her bible study one night about the debt, the underhanded way he's been acting, the car payments etc... to see if she was aware of any of it.  She was not aware of most of it, but was aware of some of it because of the creditors calling and so forth.

He had informed me that he thought my mother and grandmother were bitches; I told mother this in the context of explaining the underhanded way he's been acting with all the lying, and that combined with my request for her to do battle for me caused her to write him a letter.  In it she did not say anything that she shouldn't have, and as she read it to my grandma, my grandma was laughing so hard she had tears rolling down her cheeks I guess.  Suffice it to say my mother did not mince words with him.  I was proud of her, but my mother possesses a knack for hitting the nail on the head and using letters to handle difficult situations.  This is one of those situations.

debt, school, don
