Wonderful wonderful Film!

Just back from Half Blood Prince. As many have already said, the best one so far! It's not a kids movie anymore. It's grown up in leaps and bounds. I didn't think it was a "darker" film either as some of the cast were saying at the prems. It was funny, with some really witty lines. It was exciting! It was action packed! It was romantic! And it was sad in quite a few places.
It's always difficult to fit the whole book into one film, but they did a great job. Nothing crucial left out - one odd scene put in for some reason though - and my favourite Snape line let out, too (unless it's on the cutting room floor???) I think they have set up the next film to roll on seamlessly.
David Yates has demonstrated that he is such a brilliant director. I hope he gets an Oscar nom because he deserves it. No "empty" scenes and some masterful camera angles. There was not a bad acting performance from anyone. I thought Daniel, Rupert and Emma stretched themselves to the limit and beyond. Alan Rickman was sublime!  SO glad to see more of him at last. Jim Broadbent was a wonderful Slughorn - hope we see him in the next ones, too. Jessie Cave played Lavendar to a tee - a very talented young lady. But the actor who impressed me most was Tom Felton. He showed us that he can do far more than sneer and spit out the name "Potter". He may have felt nervous sharing scenes with the likes of the acting profession's finest but he can hold his head high! He did not disappoint.
So now I'm exhausted, but I'm buzzing! When can I see it again!
