Another week gone by

Oh, Goodness. What have I been doing for the past week? Dying, mostly. I woke up last Sunday sick as a dog. I thought it might have had something to do with the immense amount of booze that I had consumed the night before. That alone should have been a clue to me, because I have the alcohol tolerance of an entire ship of rowdy pirates and thus never get hungover. As it turns out, I had a head cold that lasted all week. It was miserable. I actually resorted to going to my Tuesday classes in my pajamas with a box of Kleenex. I created a marvelous cocktail of Advil cold and Sinus for my head, regular Advil for my wrist (which went amok again), Centrum because I'm old, and Mydol because my period conveniently showed up at the same time as my cold. I was popping pills like Dr. House pops Vicodin. By Friday, I was much better, though I still have a bit of a cough and remain, er, phlegmy.

Now it is the weekend. I was at Q2 again last night. Courtney, Julie, Nadine and I successfully managed the retrieval of my Canadian flag and the posting of the Royal Canadian Mounty giving the finger in its place. Tonight will be the first Sunday that I am not in charge of Sunday dinner. I'm glad to have a bit of a break, to be quite honest. To add to the magnificence of this particular Sunday, the season premier of Desperate Housewives is tonight - Hoorah with highly polished brass knobs on!!!

This week Dana and I should both find out if we've been accepted to the Study Abroad program. I'm pretty confident in both of us. For her, if she's accepted now, she gets to go to Italy. If I'm accepted, I still have to apply and gain acceptance to St. Andrews itself. THATS the part I'm nervous about. They said on the website that any American student with a GPA of 3.0 can reasonably expect to be successful in applying, and I have nearly a 3.9. I wish that made me as confident as it ought to. Ah well. We'll see. You'll know when I do.

I would like to say for the record that at age 63, Paul McCartney is still freakin' awesome. He just released a new album last week and it is amazing (as per usual for Macca's work). Just thought I'd share. It is most festive. We are all making House House T-shirts today, and I am most pleased. Mine is a lovely bluish. I love bluish. Just like House's gorgeous eyes. :::sigh::: All right, I'm done now. Heh. Love you all.
